Shoreditch Bar Art

As much as wanted to leave London this weekend and enjoy the sunshine somewhere far far away from the nearest Starbucks or tourist I remained in Shoreditch. Not only that but I spent most of the time indoors, well, in bars.
This did have it's benefits and not all were alcohol related. Casa Blue on Brick Lane has two great assets in my eyes. It's fantastic strawberry mojitos being one and this beautiful art by Pigment Explosion being the other. It appears in little tiles all over the place like a little adventure taking place all over the walls. It's quite magical and I felt slightly similar to the work of Jakub Dvorsky and his Samarost games.

More treats were instore when we headed to the Juno bar where I enjoyed Caipirinha's and gasped in horror when the Space Invader game that was disguised as a table (really) swallowed my 50p. Then I realised I was surrounded by yet more art! This time in the form of graffiti - the results of the graffiti competitions Juno holds.
This little beauty was my fave...
